Drawing; Project for the Final

This was the 'Finals' project for my drawing course. We were required to create at least three large images that were related somehow. I decided to go with sumi ink for the media, as I wanted to expand upon the technique I used for my mid-terms self portrait.

These are based upon the idea of playing cards. Sumi is notoriously bad for photography, as both the ink and paper are highly reflective. As a result, I've altered the images a little (mostly contrast) to adjust.

And for extra credit, we could opt to do (yet) another self portrait. I did this in charcoal.
